Will GoCardless transactions be automatically entered into my QuickBooks account?

Yes. When a payment is received by GoCardless, it will automatically sync with QuickBooks Online. GoCardless fees are also imported as an expense into your QuickBooks account.

I already have a QuickBooks and GoCardless account. What do I need to do next?

If you already have a GoCardless account, you'll need to connect it to your QuickBooks Online account. You can then import existing GoCardless Direct Debit mandates into QuickBooks and manage everything from within the QuickBooks dashboard.

Your customer needs to enter their bank details once, through a secure online form, and that's it. You’re now authorised to collect all future payments without further action from your customer. The amount you charge and when you charge can be fixed or flexible. In fact, it’s linked to the amount and due date on the QuickBooks invoice you’ve sent your customer.

The QuickBooks GoCardless partnership is ideal for small businesses that bill their customers on a recurring basis. This could be a structured payment, such as a fixed monthly subscription, or flexible, such as sending variable-value invoices on an ad-hoc basis throughout the year. It allows you to fully automate the process of billing and collecting payment from your customer, so you can focus on what matters – delivering a quality service. QuickBooks Making Tax Digital for VAT software is available to all QuickBooks Simple Start, Essential, Plus and Advanced subscribers. Use of QuickBooks MTD for VAT software and bridging software must be aligned with HMRC's eligibility requirements and includes additional setup between the small business and HMRC.
